Summer weddings are all about effortless elegance, vibrant colors and lush, seasonal blooms. This year, there are some trends that are genuinely redefining floral design while bringing a stylish and modern twist to classic celebrations. Think Amalficore aesthetics with citrus accents and Mediterranean-inspired arrangements, live tablescapes where flowers intertwine with fresh herbs and fruit, and a shift toward texture over color, letting layers of petals, foliage and dried elements create depth. Sculptural floral installations are making a statement, while warm "Mocha Mousse" accents, the Pantone Color of the Year, add richness and sophistication. Couples are also embracing eco-friendly practices, choosing locally sourced blooms and sustainable floral mechanics. Hi! It’s me, Maegan, with The Floral Pop, a local Nashville florist and wedding vendor, sharing some summer wedding trends I am loving that will add a personal and unique touch to your summer wedding.Â
Whenever I am talking about trends, I always tell couples to remember that it is excellent to incorporate trends into their wedding; in fact, I love trends, and I think many should add fun and interesting trends into their wedding, but it is essential that the couple adds their own spin on it. I cannot believe it is almost spring and that summer is around the corner. I personally love summer weddings. Fall is my favorite season, but summer takes a close second. Growing up in the South, there is just something about summer nights that fills a spot in my soul. Regarding logistics, summer takes the cake on the most challenging season to work in as a florist. Weddings in the summer, especially if part of that wedding is outdoors, are a game of timing. You never want to set things out too early in the heat, only for them to be wilted later or for your team to be rushing five minutes before the ceremony, finishing things up as your guests are walking in! This is important to remember when planning the logistics with your florist.Â
Whether planning a garden soirée, a beachfront ceremony or a chic rooftop reception, these summer wedding trends will elevate your summer wedding in the most unforgettable way!Â
These are some fresh ideas for a stylish summer wedding:
Amalficore AestheticsÂ

This trend is inspired by the mesmerizing coastlines of Italy and is one of my favorite trends for this summer because it allows the couple to get inspiration while including the elements that mean the most to them. Amalficore aesthetics bring a fresh and effortlessly chic feel to summer weddings. This trend embraces a palette of citrusy hues, lemony yellows, deep tangerines and Mediterranean blues, paired with lush, organic floral arrangements. It includes olive branches and lemon leaf greenery to create a breezy, coastal vibe. Another influence of this trend is to include floral centerpieces overflowing with white peonies, garden roses and fresh lemons to add hints of elegance and color. I have also loved how couples have incorporated hand-painted ceramic tableware, woven rattan details and crisp linen textiles that resemble an alfresco Italian feast. Couples could include signature cocktails like Aperol or limoncello spritzes, making this trend perfect for couples who want a stylish, sun-soaked celebration that feels like a dreamy escape to the Amalfi Coast.
Live TablescapesÂ

The next trend is ever-evolving and has brought new life into wedding tablescapes. Live tablescapes blend florals with fresh and even interactive pieces that spice up the dining experience for guests. Instead of traditional centerpieces, tables come to life with greenery, potted herbs and edible accents like fresh citrus or berries. Couples could even incorporate an option for guests to pluck fresh sprigs of rosemary or lavender to enhance their meal, with candles, fabrics and other florals adding accents to the live elements of the table decor. This trend creates an immersive experience where decor and dining seamlessly merge, making each table a visual focal point and part of the celebration itself.
Texture Over ColorÂ

The texture-over-color trend shifts the focus from strictly bold hues to depth and dimension, which can be created by layers of natural elements. Instead of relying on a bright color palette to set your wedding apart, couples are embracing florals and decor that create drastic contrasts in shape, material and movement. Whether this is through dried florals, materials or a large variety of florals throughout the arrangement, the main focus is on the contrasting textures. Apart from florals, some ideas for summer wedding textures include linen tablecloths, woven rattan accents and sculptural candleholders, which all contribute to a rich sensory experience. This trend works beautifully for summer weddings with neutral tones, warm earth shades or even soft pastels, allowing the intricate textures to take center stage in an elegant yet understated way.
Sculptural Floral InstallationsÂ

Sculptural floral installations are such an exciting trend to try for your upcoming summer wedding. It truly takes beautiful summer wedding florals and turns the blooms into breathtaking works of art. This trend moves beyond traditional arrangements, using dramatic shapes, asymmetry and unexpected structures to create striking focal points. Some ideas include floating floral clouds, freestanding arches and gravity-defying suspended designs that make a statement. I have even seen couples opting for large-scale, immersive installations that frame ceremony backdrops or even reception ceilings, transforming the space for photo opportunities or centerpieces that take the guests’ breath away as they enter the room. By playing with height and movement, these artistic designs bring a modern, fashion-forward edge to summer weddings. Whether incorporating airy baby’s breath, sculpted tropical leaves or clusters of roses seemingly growing from the ground, sculptural floral installations add a sense of drama and sophistication that guests won’t forget.
"Mocha Mousse" Accents- Pantone Color Of The YearÂ

I know this is wild for summer, but just hear me out. The 2025 Pantone color of the year is Mocha Mousse, bringing warmth and depth to summer weddings. Adding this trending color along with earthy tones to a summer wedding is such a fun and unique idea. This color is rich and earthy, somewhere between soft cocoa and creamy caramel, adding depth and elegance without overpowering a palette. Couples are beginning to embrace Mocha Mousse in impactful ways, from floral arrangements featuring toffee-colored roses and cappuccino-hued ranunculus to velvet ribbons, silk table linens and even tinted taper candles. The shade pairs beautifully with airy neutrals and even muted terracottas, making it a versatile choice for both modern and romantic aesthetics. Whether used in bold statement pieces or delicate accents, this warm, grounding color enhances the natural beauty of a summer wedding while exuding timeless charm.
Eco-Friendly Practices

As you probably know, sustainability in the floral community is continuing to grow and is becoming a priority for florists and couples alike. I always share ways I can help couples make eco-friendly choices and also how I personally incorporate sustainable choices into my floral arrangements throughout the wedding and reception. I have consistently noticed couples are seeking ways to reduce waste and minimize their environmental footprint without sacrificing style. Locally sourced, in-season blooms are replacing imported flowers, while foam-free floral mechanics and reusable vessels are becoming the standard for arrangements. Beyond florals, couples are incorporating sustainable choices in every detail, from farm-to-table catering and compostable dinnerware to vintage rentals and ethically sourced fabrics. By making intentional choices, eco-conscious weddings prove that sustainability and elegance can go hand in hand, creating celebrations that are both beautiful and responsible.
I believe these summer wedding trends bring a fresh, stylish approach to floral design and décor, proving that the most minor details can make the most significant impact. I look forward to upcoming summer weddings filled with inspired new ideas intermixed with classic staples that I know and love. I will say some of my favorite parts of summer weddings are those early summer or late summer cocktail hours. I love those intimate moments of quieter time with family and friends before the dinner and dance floor! These times are a great moment to amp up the decor because your guests are seeking cozy spaces to catch up and have a drink or an appetizer together. Whether it’s through lush florals, thoughtfully designed spaces, or meaningful, sustainable choices, these trends set the stage for a summer wedding that feels both stylish and heartfelt.
